Hidimba Devi Temple

Nestled amidst the snow-laden hillocks of Manali, the Hidimba Devi Temple, also known as the Dhungri temple, is an ancient place of worship revered by the Hindus. The cave temple is dedicated to the Hindu demon-goddess Hidimbi. Hidimbi was the wife of Bhima, one of the five Pandava brothers who are at the forefront of the epic Mahabharata. Conceived in 1553 CE by Maharaja Bahadur Singh, the Temple is built around an ancient cave inside which Hidimbi Devi is believed to have meditated.

Solang Valley

It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sports conditions. The sports most commonly offered are parachuting, paragliding, skating, and zorbing. The majestic Solang Valley is renowned for its vast slopes of greenery, contributing to its status as a favorite ski resort. The sprawling expanse of lush lawns in the valley has earned it a reputation as a popular destination for skiing enthusiasts.

Jogini Falls

Jogini Waterfall is located near the picturesque town of Manali in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. To reach the waterfall, you can embark on a scenic trek from the Vashisht Temple or Old Manali. The trek takes approximately 4 to 6 hours, covering a distance of around 4 kilometers. The best time to visit Jogini Waterfall is during the summer and monsoon seasons, from April to October. During this time, the weather is pleasant, and the waterfall is at its full glory, cascading gracefully down the mountainside.

Atal Tunnel

Atal Tunnel (also known as Rohtang Tunnel) is a highway tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass in the eastern Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas on the National Highway 3 in Himachal Pradesh. At a length of 9.02 km, it is the longest highway single-tube tunnel above 10,000 feet(3,048 m) in the world. It is named after former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass is quite famous among Ladakh travelers but the unpredictable avalanche and severe climatic conditions make it scary some times. Nonetheless, it had made adventure seekers’ tour of Ladakh mind-blowing. A high mountain pass at an elevation of 3978 meters above the sea level, Rohtang is just 51 km from Manali. It is a part of the proud Range of Himalayas.

“Sharan village near Heritage Village, Naggar, is among the 10 villages selected as craft handloom villages. This will not only promote the handloom industry but also boost rural tourism,” she said. The Union minister said National Institutes of Fashion Technology (NIFTs) will help promote handloom products in the country.

Bijli Mahadev

This temple is known as Bijli Mahadev, the temple is located in the beautiful village Kashwari of Kullu valley, which is situated at an altitude of 2460 meters. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is also counted among the most ancient temples of India. So let us tell you about Bijli Mahadev Temple. The Shiva Lingam inside the temple is mysteriously struck by a lightning bolt every 12 years. No one has been able to decipher this mystery yet and due to this lightning strike, the Shiva Lingam breaks into pieces.

Gauri Shanker Temple

The Tripura Sundari Temple is one of such temples that are of great historic importance in Himachal. The temple stands as a massive wooden structure, exhibiting the local architecture and art of carving. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Tripura Sundari. The idol of goddess is enshrined in the temple with 21 masks.
